Vanessa and Marcelle are working hard to ensure that each donation received over Christmas is carefully recorded for tax receipting.

2024 Annual Donation Receipts will be emailed at the conclusion of our financial audit, the week of February 23, 2025.

Please join us in warmly welcoming our new Organist & Director of Music, Neil Cockburn, to the Cathedral.

Neil will be speaking at a special 40-minute forum held after the 10:30 service, this Sunday.

The Very Rev. Christopher Pappas will return this Sunday.

In celebration of the changing seasons, Christ Church Cathedral’s labyrinth will be open from Monday, January 6th to Thursday, January 9th, from 10am to 4pm.

A special evening event, “Music of the Labyrinth”, will take place on Thursday, January 9th. Cathedral priest and harpist, Rev. Clare Morgan, will perform original music to accompany “pilgrims” on their meditative journey, in the serene setting of Christ Church Cathedral. Music begins at 7:30pm.

People of all faiths and spiritual disciplines are warmly invited to experience a time for centering, contemplation, reflection and meditation.

We have an exciting new series of forums planned for 2025. We typically gather in the Park Room from 9.15am-9.55am on Sundays to learn about the church, the people in our community, and the ways our church engages with challenging social issues. The forums are an opportunity to get to know fellow church-goers, to learn about issues important to our church community, and to learn something new. We look forward to seeing you there!

For our first Forum of 2025, we will welcome Neil Cockburn, the Cathedral's new music director, after the 10.30am service.

If you want to learn more about the Anglican Church, our history, our worship, and our community, join us for this 9 session series. This series will feature a variety of voices from our wider church community. We will meet in-person twice and online weekly for 8 weeks. 

Stay tuned for an in-person session which will contain an instructed Eucharist and Cathedral tour. 

Please join us if you are new to the Cathedral, preparing for baptism, confirmation or reception in the Anglican Church, or if you simply want to learn more about our tradition and faith!

On Sunday Jan 12th, following the 10.30am service, we will be hosting lunch for participants. Please RSVP by Jan 5th if you are able to join us for lunch. If you are able to join us for lunch, we invite you to bring a dessert to share. 

Are you looking for a way to deepen your spiritual life? Every weekday morning at 9:30am the Cathedral holds Morning Prayer.

We will follow a simple liturgy with a Psalm, a Reading, Prayer and Silence. This form of regular, daily prayer is used in the Anglican Communion and a number of other church denominations. All are welcome to start the day in prayer with us.

Morning Prayer takes place online via Zoom. To join in, please email Morning Prayer for Zoom coordinates.

Are you interested in supporting children and their families on their faith journeys? Do you know anyone who might be a good fit for leading Sunday School at the Cathedral?

In-person Healing Touch is returning to the Cathedral. The next offering will be Sunday, January 19, 2025.

Two session times will be on offer:

• After the 8am service: 9:00am and 9:30am, and
• After the 10:30am service: 12:00pm and 12:30pm

To register for a session please email the office at reception@thecathedral.ca to request a time with “Healing Touch In-Person” in the subject line. 

First come, first booked. Confirmation emails will be sent by January 17th.

We are planning an evening that all can enjoy, with music, dancing, pizza and other treats.

This is free event but you MUST have a ticket.
