Donations of Gently Used Toys for Two Children, 8 & 10 yrs oldSubmitted by Rosalind Kellett The group supporting Shiba's Family (newcomers to Canada) is asking for donations of toys, games, lego, books or jigsaw puzzles for Shiba's two youngest siblings. Do you have any of these items that are still in good condition and yet you would be willing to donate them to us?
If so, Shiba's youngest brother and sister, Zainab (10 years old) and Mustafa, now 8 years old, are energetic, curious and eager to have them in their new lives here in Canada.
Toys, games, books and puzzles are not high on the list for Shiba's parents yet the youngsters are so grateful for any kind of gift and have a special liking for LEGO puzzles.
If you have a donation, please label it Shiba's Family, bring it to the Cathedral and give it to Ros (or place it in the church office) by Dec. 29th. Ros will visit the family in early January. If you have any questions, please email me at roskellett@gmail.com OR ccc.jeam@gmail.com

The 2025 Multifaith Calendar - Pathways to PeaceA gift that lasts the whole year! The colourful, artistic and informative 2025 Multifaith Calendar is a wonderful gift at this time of year for family members and friends. The theme of the 39th edition of this very informative resource is “Pathways to Peace”. As multiple conflicts rage across the world, the dream of true and lasting world peace is universal, yet elusive. What will it take for people to finally set aside their deeply-felt differences and historical grievances to find a common vision for humanity? Learning more, day by day and month by month, about the spiritual observances of all the major religions around the world and around our neighbourhoods is a starting point. Spiritual leaders have posited that we cannot achieve global peace and unity until we realize peace within our communities and ourselves. The 2025 Multifaith Calendar – Pathways to Peace opens hearts to knowledge, understanding, and celebration. For further information and to order calendars - $15 each and 2 for $25 contact Donna Wong-Juliani: donna@thecathedral.ca |

Cathedral 135 Years - A Cathedral Wedding in 1910Submitted by Hadani Ditmars I admit to self-medicating for some time now with images of late Edwardian England, transported into my living room nightly via Netflix, mainly in the form of old episodes of Downton Abbey. After watching the evening news, there’s something positively soothing about taking in visuals of that gilded age (in spite of all the drama with footmen!)
