It is with sadness that we announce Alberto Jaramillo has resigned from his position as the Cathedral’s Hospitality and Food Coordinator in order to pursue new opportunities. Alberto has been with the Cathedral for three years, though it feels longer, and was instrumental in helping implement important changes to the Maundy Café. Those changes helped the Maundy Café become something more than just a meal program, but a real community. We will miss Alberto but we wish him and his family the best as they embark on this new chapter. Alberto’s last day is October 27.
One of the last things Alberto did was help us find someone who will take up the important work of the Maundy Café. We are pleased to announce that Vienne Chan will be taking over from Alberto as the Hospitality and Food Coordinator. She has an extensive background working in this field and Dean Christopher, along with the Cathedral staff and leadership are excited about having her join the team. Vienne will start her position with us on Monday, October 26.
As well, our search for a Director of Finance and Operations has come to a successful conclusion. Rebecca Sun has been hired for this position. Rebecca will oversee the financial health of the Cathedral, building and maintaining a healthy financial backbone to support the Cathedral’s ministries. She will also be managing the administration of our facilities, which is no small task. Rebecca starts her new position at the Cathedral on Monday, October 26.
One final change to share: Vincent Carey has a new title and new responsibilities within the Cathedral organization. Vincent is now the Dean’s Assistant for Administration. He will be working more closely with the dean to help oversee the day-to-day running of the parish. His contact information remains the same.
