Join Chris Chivers and Rev. Areeta, for a prayerful and reflective walk through the Emily Carr exhibit at the Art Gallery. We will meet in the main entrance of the Art Gallery at 3.45pm. Chris will take us through a contemplative walk, pausing for interactive reflection on the questions raised by Emily Carr's art on display, questions about our faith, the connection between church and forest architecture, and the meaning and mystery of Jesus's life and death. 

Please email Rev. Areeta if you would like to attend or have any questions. Tickets are priced at $25 (reduced group rate), payable by check, cash or e-transfer to the Cathedral. (Children 18 and under are free).

Dr Melissa Lem, a CCC member, leads an organization called PaRx. PaRx has allied with the Vancouver Art Gallery (and BC Parks Foundation) that those in need of psycho/emotional support are able to visit the gallery without charge.  With a prescription from a physician, the prescribed person and an optional guest can have an indoor-nature visit, specifically featuring the works of Emily Carr.

About Chris Chivers: Chris and Rev. Areeta became friends at the Lambeth Conference in 2008 in the U.K. Chris has extensive experience serving at parishes, Universities and Cathedrals. He now teaches in London. He has a strong interest in the arts and has led prayer walks in art galleries in London and in Cape Town. Chris is also a friend of Rev. Kevin through their connection to the Cathedral in Cape Town.
