Effective July 1, British Columbia lifted many of the Covid-19 safety protocols that have been in place since the pandemic began. This includes orders affecting in-person worship.
The Pastoral Letter from Bishop John Stephens came out on Monday July 5th and gave a clear plan for parishes in the Diocese to reopen fully but with some safety precautions still in place and encouraged. To read the full Pastoral letter you can find it below or on the Diocesan Website.
In line with the Pastoral Letter from Bishop John Stephens, beginning Sunday July 11 you can chose to attend one of these services in-person, on-site. You no longer need to register! You are welcome to join us for cake after the 10:30am service, to celebrate Vincent Carey. The celebration will be enjoyed outdoors on the Plaza. On Sunday 18th you are welcome to join us for cake again, after the service on the plaza, to celebrate Rev. Helen Dunn. After two Sundays of celebratory cakes, cookies will return after the service taking place upstairs, with the lower level remaining closed for the moment.

For some people, being able to come to the Cathedral for in-person Sunday worship is a moment of joy and anticipation. For some, the idea of being in a large group again - even after being vaccinated -may not be such an exciting idea. No one is obligated to return to in-person worship if they do not yet feel ready to do so.
