The Rainbow Foundation of Hope is a volunteer-run charity that helps LGBTQ+ refugees and asylum seekers as they flee to Canada, escaping persecution in their home countries because of their gender identity or sexual orientation. Through donations the foundation helps fund mental health counselling services, emergency flights, education scholarships, and of course, grants to Circles of Hope formed by private citizens to enable these vulnerable individuals to get to Canada. Over the course of the last 9 years more than 75 LGBTQ+ newcomers have resettled into our communities as a result of the volunteer efforts undertaken by the charity.
