My dear friends in Christ,

I am pleased to announce that Archbishop Melissa has informed me that she will appoint our Assistant Curate, the Rev. André Marc Stephany, as the new rector of St. Clement’s Church in Lynn Valley, effective September 1, 2020.  A date for his induction will be announced at a later date.

Although I have not yet met André, I have heard marvellous accounts of his ministry here at the Cathedral.  I am excited for him and the wider Church as he takes the skills and experience he has honed here to his new call.  It is an example of how Christ Church Cathedral can serve as a training ground and incubator to train leaders for service in the wider church.

I’m sure we will all miss Andre at the Cathedral and I hope we can find an opportunity to celebrate his ministry and show our appreciation for him in the next three months before he begins the next phase of his ministry.

My prayers go out to André in this very exciting time in his life.
