Electric Vehicles (EVs) are praised as being the answer to vehicle carbon emissions. Others question the overall impact on emissions due to the increased carbon activity required to mine the metals to supply this new battery demand, while others are concerned about what happens to the potential billions of discarded batteries once their electrical life expires.
