Our Advent Calendar for this year, created by our Children, Youth, and Families Minister, Lauren Odile Pinkney, is "A Very Eco-Friendly Advent", this Advent Calendar features a booklet and poster design and can be printed at home. It is an encouragement to strip things back this year, and say no to the stress and yes to the joy of Advent. It features daily bible readings and reflections with encouragement and suggestions for eco-friendly and family-oriented Advent activities. Download it below.
Ever Wondered what this Advent Wreath thing is all about? Maybe like me, you called it a crown or just didn't know what these 5 candles meant... If you can't make our Advent Wreath Making, below is an infographic about what an Advent Wreath is and what it means, it will also give you instructions for how to make your own at home!
Also below are some Advent Litanies for Families to use as you light an Advent wreath each week at home. These special weekly prayers have been adapted from the Salt Project in a helpful booklet you print at home. And using slightly more trauma-informed language.
