I was born and raised in Salisbury, England where I attended Catholic convent schools. I came to BC as an au pair, and married Vancouver born Douglas Seppala. We raised three boys in our Kerrisdale home, attended St. John’s Shaughnessy, then St. Mary’s (Kerrisdale) where I volunteered with the Community Meal Program. I completed UBC’s Landscape & Garden Design programme and worked as a garden designer. Six years ago we moved downtown and started attending Christ Church Cathedral. I began as Volunteer Lay Ministries Coordinator in spring 2016.
What I do here
I connect Cathedral ministries with volunteer team members. I liaise with new parishioners guiding them into appropriate volunteer positions if wished. I participate in weekly staff meetings, Parish Council and newcomer's luncheons and can be found, on Thursdays at the Reception desk in the Parish Office.
