Global Climate March

Climate change is occurring across the entire planet in devastating ways previously thought unimaginable. We all wonder what we can do to help mitigate the effects of global warming. Every action, however small, has a positive effect. So, we cannot give up on doing all we can.

The Global Day of Action is a day filled with hope. It is a day that we can enjoy the company of others, all united in the same goal in the call to action to our governments to ensure a sustainable environment for future generations. It is a day to get together to support children and youth in the quest for a better future. It is a day where everyone, young and old, can enjoy the camaraderie of all united in a common goal.

This is also a Pro-D Day, so all schools in Metro Vancouver will close to allow children and their families to participate in this march for the environment. A broad cross-section of companies, unions, and organizations will join in.

Date: September 20, 2024
Location: Vancouver City Hall
Time: 1:30 pm — march to the Vancouver Art Gallery downtown

“74% of British Columbians want our government to do more on climate change.” (Climate Convergence)

We want to see action taken not yesterday, but today, tomorrow and for the future of our children and youth.
