Rupert Lang's Last Sunday at the Cathedral

Sunday December 29th marked Dr. Rupert Lang’s final Sunday at Christ Church Cathedral as the Cathedral’s Organist and Director of Music. Rupert served in this position since 1986. 

Near the end of the First Sunday After Christmas liturgy, the presider Rev. Stuart Mennigke asked Rupert to join him at the front of the nave for a blessing. Rupert was joined by cantor Margaret Ferguson and by other members of the Cathedral choir who were in attendance. Rev. Mennigke offered the blessing, while members of that Sunday’s liturgical party laid hands on Rupert and held him and his new journey ahead in prayer.
