We are hiring an Administrative Assistant to join our team of office professionals that support this parish.

The successful candidate will work with us onsite 30 hours per week (Monday to Friday), and have:

  • excellent verbal and written communication skills,
  • strong computer and database skills,
  • the ability to complete tasks in an environment where there will be interruptions; doing so with patience, grace and kindness,
  • excellent attention to detail,
  • the willingness to learn new skills,
  • prior experience or a willingness to learn basic bookkeeping skills,
  • the ability to create a warm and inviting environment,
  • the commitment to be a supportive team player in a culture where we care about each other, laugh together, help each other succeed, and serve this parish to the best of our abilities.

Knowledge of, or experience in the Anglican tradition is an asset, but not a requirement. A willingness to learn about our parish is essential to complete the work of this role effectively.

Prior work experience in an office environment is preferred, however a candidate with the right combination of education, skills and experience will be considered.

This role includes a reception component that must be performed onsite from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday to Friday; a remote work option is not available for this position. 

The pay scale for the Administrative Assistant is $20 to $25 per hour, plus 4% vacation pay.
