Drag Communion

10am Service | 11:15am Brunch
October 6, 2024
Shaughnessy Heights United Church
1550 W 33rd Avenue, Vancouver

A queer-led service of Holy Communion led by four drag queen liturgists, inspired by the unconditional love and acceptance offered at Drag Brunch. The service at Shaughnessy Heights United Church will be followed by a brunch and conversation in the fellowship hall, with a love offering taken to support Rainbow Refugee. Developed in partnership with Shaughnessy Heights United Church and Christ Church Cathedral Vancouver, this ecumenical eucharist welcomes everyone to Come As Who You Are. This pilot program, if successful, hopes to bring Drag Communion on a seasonal basis to host churches around the Lower Mainland.

Attendees are encouraged to join the SQUID Discord and connect with our drag communion team and community.
