I first found the Cathedral as a spiritual home several years ago, quickly becoming a regular at the 10:30am Sunday service. I later joined the Building department as a custodian, and in 2013 moved into my current role as Building Manager when Gord retired. Music is a large part of my life. I play guitar and piano, and write my own music, while enjoying brief forays into musical theatre with local community groups from time to time. A perfect Friday night is watching murder mysteries with dark chocolate and a G&T.
What I do here
My primary work here at the Cathedral involves:
Oversee the Building staff (Ross, Doug, Randy) in their work to keep our building clean and events running smoothly.
The maintenance of our pristine (18000 square foot) heritage building.
– maintenance (8 different types of flooring)
– cleaning (19 toilets)
– inventory control (42 different types of lightbulbs)
Managing security and safeguarding church property, staff, parishioners and the general public.
Monitor the street ministry projects as primary staff contact. Manage inventory control.
Assisting the Project and Events Manager (James Cheatley) in managing and coordinating Cathedral and third party user group events.
