Last year was our first family retreat experience. Sorrento Centre offered the gift of living in community, getting to know folks from our Cathedral parish better and making new friends. Our preschooler experienced freedom to wander and explore within the safety of this community. I was surprised by the joy that he found in this autonomy. I also felt cared for, knowing that other adults and older children were looking out for him too. He enjoyed the programming for his age group, and the leaders were caring and gentle. Worship was fun and meaningful, held in the great natural beauty of the place. I look forward to more family retreats at Sorrento Centre!
